How do I get jetseat to work with external sound card?

Hey I downloaded the drivers for the external sound card. I plugged my headphones into the jetseat, and the jetseat line into the 'line out' receiver on my external sound card. The card is connected to the PC by a USB. Everything is working (sound jetseat) except I can feel no distinction between the engines and the guns (etc) so its just as it was before using the external sound card. How exactly am  I supposed to set this up? I followed the instructions to the best of my ability, but I'm not sure what to do next.  Not sure if I am even supposed to choose the option buttkicker and similar devices as I am not using a butt kicker. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Btw in the simshaker software options as seen in screenshot 2 I have selected the external sound card though am thinking perhaps I need to select my other internal soundcard but as I have plugged my headphones into the jetseat I am not sure if there is an option for this, as the high definition audio device is disabled. I guess I'll try each option.

I'm trying to use voice meeter and an equalizer that came with the external sound card but I just can't work out how I'm supposed to spit different sounds off from each other!
