76SQN-J0NJ0N Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Hi, I've been playing RoF quite successfully for a while now with j/stick, pedals, keyboard and TIR, but flying these complicated monoplanes with fancy retractable landing gear, variable speed props and other mod cons I think that I need some kind of a 'box' for my left hand to operate. I would like something that gives me finer control of mix and prop pitch, a throttle and some switches to give me some more options. I'm a little broke after Xmas and New Year so something that won't break the bank would be ideal. Any ideas?
dburne Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 CH Throttle Quadrant might do well in your case. Not sure what budget is, you might find used as well. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826169109
VBF-12_Snake9 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Got this, the Saitek throttle Quadrant last week from best buy. For 50 dollars you can't beat it. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/saitek-pro-flight-throttle-quadrant/9452291.p?id=1218106988067&skuId=9452291
Bando Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Each to his own. I did have 2 Saitek throttles, 6 levers and a bunch of buttons. I thought I had it great for about three to four months. Then some spiking began. And some more, to the point where I could not use them anymore. I purchased a CH throttle Quadrant and never looked back. The quality is just a LOT better. All in my perception, so mileage may vary, but there's my 2 cents. I will not buy anything with Saitek on it.
