NiiranenVR Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 In quick Game i can shoot a plane , and on List see - Light, middel, heavy and parked - But what are the explain to shoot a plane to = parked ????
Jade_Monkey Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I didn't notice that option. My guess is that it refers to ground objects that can't fly. So in an airfield attack, you could destroy parked planes which in the mission editor are a different type of object, with a much simpler 3D mode. That's just a guess though, it could be referring to actual planes that aren't airborne yet.
Finkeren Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 The ability to count parked planes among the stuff you destroy is actually a big improvement. Up until 3.001 parked planes destroyed were not counted by the game, neither as aircraft nor ground targets, though they could be destroyed in the sim - forcing mission designers to place trucks or other soft targets among the planes, to make attacking them worthwhile.
TP_Silk Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 There are two ways of adding planes on the ground at airfields. You can either use a Static object (eg static_lagg3 ) which acts a bit like a building or scenery block or you can place an actual aircraft there that can (if wanted) be activated. The static object will be treated like a block, the full aircraft will likely be the one that counts as 'parked' as that will be its status on the airfield.
