Uriah Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I noticed that the max throttle percent I can get is 95%. I switch the throttle control to the joy stick I am using and can get 100%. I suspect the CH may be bad or maybe I am not setting it up right. I am using WINDOWS 7 and the CH Throttle manager. I really do like using the throttle and propitch all controlled by two fingers and having the visual clue that all those levers provide. So, if I need to change to new equipment I would prefer something similar. Your thoughts.
dburne Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Check the axis setting in BoX for the CH Quadrant lever you are using, make sure it does not have a dead zone at the end of travel. I am not using any CH software with it.
Uriah Posted March 24, 2018 Author Posted March 24, 2018 I looked in that control option and did not have any dead zone. But it also clearly showed that moving the lever to the max still kept me about 95%. I decided to deal with that by reversing the axis. That will give me 5% throttle on the runway when I want none but I can use break to deal with that.
SCG_Schneemann Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 First thought is to calibrate it in CH manager? I assume you haven't - might be worth a try. The detent at the end knocks off a certain percentage (probably your 5%), and if centered, loses the top end. Follow the calibration instructions. First back detent, second min settings, third max travel. It should fix it. Schneemann
Uriah Posted March 24, 2018 Author Posted March 24, 2018 I did the calibration but the detent does knock off a percentage. So either i loose 5% at full throttle or least throttle. When I do the calibrate I move the levers as far as they will go. I don't stop at the bump (detent?). I tried stopping at that too but it made no difference. My CH Manger screen looks a bit different but the version is the same.
Soarfeat Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Hey Uriah, In calibrating CH controls, see this guide on YouTube and pay attention to statement regarding how far to move the controls when calibrating as illustrated in video. This would apply to your throttle quad as well. CH calibration Hope this helps, Cheers -S-
