Career Transfer

Is there a way to transfer between squadrons? If so, I'm not seeing it anywhere.

Click on the squadron you want to transfer to, go on the button to find more info then look at the bottom right. It has something like "REQUEST TRANSFER". Click that, go to the new day, your transfer should then be approved and you'll be shipped off to the new place with your belongings.

As Lucas says, and when looking at the Headquarters tab, the units with the little green plus sign are units available to transfer to. If there is no green plus sign the unit is either AI only, a unit with an airplane you don't have (say the Ju-52) therefore AI only in your case, or your current unit.
