Missing pilot armor in german planes?

I flew at the same time as D, but while getting shot down a hell of a lot in the 109s and 190s, I was never killed by Enemy Fire. I guess little D is on of those Guys twisting and spazzing about on the Deck, never making use of the Armor, mostly getting shot in the Roof and Sides quite a lot.

If you actually maintain proper Speeds and actually receive Dead Six Hits, you will die far less frequently if you bail out soon enough.

Did you do the test off or online? Because online is every time a different story to offline.

The large scale tests where done as a single player mission. I did two runs in multiplayer with identical results.

Need to do more tests this time i will let kill me in a climb and will count again the PK`s.

This is not a test. You have no control over how many bullets hit and where they hit. All this will give you is more anecdotes.

If you want to test this, you need controlled conditions.

You are right, but how could thest this situation in a clean test? I only have my expiriance on Berloga where i get more often PK`s in german planes than vvs plnes and in this situation there is no armor !!. And still i survive more situation like this in vvs planes. Leed this to the conclution blue pilots cant aim  ( Joke ). I realy cant count how often i got killed in a climb where i got into the outside view and the message pops up pilot x killed Little_D and not pilot x destroyed Little_D. I aslo cant count how often i shot in this situation on vvs planes with multible hit into the upper cockpitglass from vvs planes and only the message Little_D destroyed pilot x as i also hit the engine. Never read instantly the message Little_D killed pilot x. Like i get when i got killed.

As you are insistent, I am certain I can find a way to shoot at the top of the plane's canopy in a controlled way. It is going to take some imaginative use of the mission editor.

I am almost certain that this will produce the same results as when you shoot the canopy from the high six position, but we will see...

I was nerver killed by enemy fire lol, what a BS. And by the way you dont know me or my tactical knowing or flying. And this from a guy that cant fly without techchat lol. Only for your info mr. gamer, minimum alt for my is 3000m for target cover, for frontpatrol or even blockade a enemy airfield is 5000m or even higher.

Low and slow is the playground of vvs also for stupid bomber/fighterbomber pilots that have nothing more to do than when the mission start take off as fast as possible without taxiing and go low and slow without any plan to the target and than starts to cray a that there is no cover and got killed. And yes i nerver escort a low flying bomber or groundpounder as it is the stupiest thing you can do, easy target, no room for evasive action, etc. As you think i am one of the low and slow pilots i think you fly high, so this is not to you.

And some other info its not only me that has this problem with the massiev PK`s ingerman planes. You only need to read the chat on WoL, Taw and berloga, also i spoke to lots of peole in ts from german and other nations and they all have the same issues with this problem, but maby we are all so bad pilots that we maby should leave this game.

But what other i could expect from a guy that need trainingweels to fly a simulation.

Aren't you the same guy who was telling me how good his G6 was down on the deck compared to the P39?

And? this says nothing about at witch alt the fight starts. Its only my personal meaning, that i can handel a p-39 down low on the deck in a G-6 better than at higher alt.

Other 109 different story. As you know most fights start high up and than go down low. so i force or run from a high energy p-39 down low in a g-6 and than only for me it is easyer. Also when i have to go low to cover a frindly and finde a p-39 also low i can handle here better, i dont know why, but in the g-6 it is so.

But maby it is because for me the G-6 feels more stable than the other 109`s. As i wrote in the G-6 threat.

Interesting. Are you like completely sure about that? Does anyone else confirm?

Question about 109 pilot's armor: which one give the best protection? Default or glass?

Yes I am. Take a plane with good rear armor and an opponent with weak guns. (I-16?). Then stick you head out the cockpit while under attack.

I agree.

The actual head position is tracked in IL-2, just like it was in RoF. Still remember my pilot dying from neck injuries when flipping the Sopwith Dolphin in a failed landing attempt when not ducking down. With a lowered head position however flipping the plane never killed the pilot.

Nah, don't leave, just practice more. The only thing worse than a quitter is a whiner.

I fly Luftie just about exclusively and am almost never killed from a dead six shot. I always fly with armor installed and look back infrequently between jinks once I've picked up a six. Fly as efficiently as you can while staying behind your protection. Hard G maneuvers will usually expose you to fire through the perspex and that will never go well. Jink, pause, maneuver, pause, check six, rinse, repeat. Stay fast and don't expose your pilot. Most people compaining about this are putting themselves in bad positions and then complaining about VVS stuff. I get hammered on occasion and it is almost always because of early tactical mistakes I have made which decide the outcome way before a death in the cockpit.
