VR FPS drop & gunsight stutter

My pc specs :

- 32 Gb ram 3200 MHz 

- GPU : 1080 ti 

- CPU : Core i7 8700k

- VR : oculus rift 

- hard disk: SSD 

 

In game settings 

- full screen 

- sharpen : ticked 

- HDR : unticked 

- screen res 1920x1080

- all textures at High .

 

 

getting 40-45 FPS with gunsight stutter till altitude of 2-3 then it goes up to 90 FPS in VR

 

 

am i doin something wrong ?!

Try running it with ASW off.

CTRL+ numpad 1.

Alternatively you can grab the Oculus Tray Tool from the Oculus forums, and set up a profile for IL-2.exe to always run with ASW off amongst other things. You can tell if it is off as you should not get the gunsight anomalies any more, and you should see fps even between 45-90 fps.

 

Also best to have the HUD GUI disabled for best performance. 

Also try changing to windowed mode, can even reduce the resolution in BoS for your monitor to like 1024x768.

No, but I would not set say SS in both Steam VR and Oculus Tray Tool.

 

I personally use the OTT for my SS settings with a profile set for IL-2.
