42Dkipieslim Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Hello, Today i did a fresh install of Cliffs of Dover Blitz on my PC, but it failed to launch. It doesn't show a splash screen either. After spending some time reading through the forums, i haven't managed to find a fix for the problem. I'm using Windows 10 Pro on a system running: AMD fx-8350 8GB RAM AMD RX480 and so far i tried: Installing .NET 4.7.1 (was allready installed) Disabling the steam overlay Setting LOGKEEP=1, but this does not generate any log.txt file either in Documents/1C softwork/<CoDfolder> or in the steam folder Removing all unnecessary usb devices (only keyboard and mouse remained) Disabling UAC, and running the executable as admin. all so far without result. I did notice that a dmp file is created in Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\cppcrash each time i try to launch the game, which states there is a permission problem with the executable. this is a copy of the text in a dmp https://pastebin.com/raw/ZPtfdm2c As i am a new member, and am not entirely sure if there is allready a ticket regarding this on the bugtracker i didn't want to pollute it with a possible double ticket. 69thSpiritus Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Steam update is causing issues with Blitz and many other games. Hopefully Steam fixes this quickly but TFS is working on our own solution right now.
