Yesterday afternoon, our leader and friend Igor Anatolievich Tishin passed away from complications post chemotherapy. We mourn this tragic loss and pray for his family, his wife Tania and father Anatoly Petrovich. Eagle Dynamics was a huge part of his life and most of our dreams stemmed from there. The Team will gather soon to ensure that Igor's legacy gone on and always be remembered in the products we make. We commit to following his wishes and for the dream to continue through the capable hands of those who remain. The whole Eagle Dynamics team, family and friends pray God to our beloved Igor.

Our deepest condolences to all who knew him and loved him well.

ED Team, family and friends

Oh damn, hadn’t heard that as have not been over to the website recently. Friggin cancer. I have a personal beef with it. I’m sick of seeing what people have to go through. Kids even hit me harder...

“Complications from post chemotherapy”. I’m one of the lucky few I guess. Stage 3 MM 80% infected in marrow with a 14 GFR for kidneys and 190/140 BP at start. Well, figured it was good ride for 54 years. Survival rating dismal. MM loves building up a resistance to chemo drugs of all kinds in time.

Long (very long) story short - kidneys began starting on their own after protein levels were dropped. Within 5 months of chemo bone biopsy revealed cancer cells down to 2% range. Final chemo pounded it down to “sub zero”. They can now detect “sub zero” levels down beyond the typical 0% range here at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester to 1 cell in 100,000 sample and yes they make sure they core old marrow from your hip too (my 7th time). Latest results all showed 100% normal protein cells and they can’t detect any cells remaining down to 0.0000% (aka 1/10,000 of 1%) which in English mean my chances of coming out of remission in the next 5 years are very low now. I view it as it buys me time for them to develop other therapies.

(We actually sold sold our home and moved away in order to be close to the Mayo Clinic here in Minnesota.)

I’ve been on chemo maintence (one capsule daily) now since my final chemo in 2015 and am now off even that altogether. I took a pic of me tossing it in the local prescription drug bin. The slightly shaken hands and other side effects will subside now over time (my excuse for not lining up shots properly will now be void lol). My oncologist gave me two big thumbs up for choosing to do so and backs my decision with his knowledge. It’s like having an extended lease on life for a few years.

My oncologist said I’m one of the lucky few who has achieved full MRD negativity. It happens. Rarely. But it does happen.

So my lil’ post here was to share my story in hopes that if anyone here knows of a family member or friend going through this garbage (for lack of not using a four letter word) keep the faith. I literally (let alone my wife and family) had all but written me off those first 72 hours but miracles do and can happen. T cell therapy was FDA approved last October and looks very promising. Little did I know years ago when choosing my online gamer name BornToBattle how much it literally was going to mean.

Until we meet in the skies! Check six...and never give up.
