Scattered vs dense .....  English are not My first luanguage so whats the meaning ???

I've always assumed it's the amount of aircraft, both friendly and enemy that one has a chance to encounter in the mission.

 

Dense = more

 

Sparse = less

It refers to the frontline activity.  Dense means a lot of activity in all areas, and scattered means some areas will not have much activity and some will have a lot.  I think scattered is the most realistic.
