AI A20 no red "pickle" light activated on bomb release

In the campaign missions the AI release of the bombs does not appear to activate the red "pickle" light on the tail of their aircraft. Ive looked carefully for it in 3 missions now. The white doors open light comes on but no red light immediately before the bombs drop is seen. Flying 50M immediately to astern and 50M in staggered alt echelon.
