smink1701 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I have an older monitor that is not WS. Looking for a new monitor and was wondering how BOS looks using 16:9 format
Emgy Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) Widescreen feels lot more immersive since it's closer to our human two-eye view. 24" and even 27" screens are relatively cheap these days. Good reviews for gamers (they test ghosting and such): tftcentral.co.uk and pcmonitors.info Edited January 3, 2014 by Calvamos
dburne Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I am running mine on a new Asus 27" 144hz monitor and I love it.
ShamrockOneFive Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 My monitor is a 24in (Dell U2412m) 16:10 resolution or 1920x1200 pixels which is a bit less common and it looks fantastic here. Works well at a variety of resolutions and aspect ratios which is great.
Fifi Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Full led is a good way to go if you can afford it... Mine is a Samsung Syncmaster SA850, 27" 16/9 2560X1440 native resolution, 5ms response time, 16.7 million color supported. Including Samsung "magic brightness" or "magic color" as well as many settings to fit your favourit picture likings (for games, cinema etc)
