Seeing custom skins online?

i noticed on the new update that there is now an option to "see custom skins online" in the settings. does this mean i no longer have to own the download of the skin to see it? if so that would be awesome.

Sadly it does not. All it does is this: if you have custom skins installed and someone else is using this skin, you can see it. Disable this checkbox and you won't be able to see custom skins of other players at all.
