fiddlinjim Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I have flown several career missions both on the Allied and the Axis side and while some missions flow well, some appear a little buggy and I wonder just how much flight time was spent testing them for problems. Lost or changed paths, momentary breaks and flashovers Etc,. IL2 is absolutely my favorite sim and I never play DCS or War Thunder any more but some of the career missions could run a little smoother. Hopefully, I 'm not the only pilot that has noticed these issues.
ShamrockOneFive Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Not sure what you're describing there. Changed paths? Breaks? I haven't seen much of any issue with the new Career missions so far. The only odd one is that I get mission accomplished messages in French.
dburne Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I have flown around 22 missions so far in the new Career, and have not noticed anything really odd - has been pretty good for me. Flying a Spitfire Career in Kuban.
-332FG-Hank_DG Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Well it actually does this to me on every mission and every career..... i don't know what the issue is lol
dburne Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I am not totally sure what is being described here. I have had on a couple of occasions, the large map (o) go a little wonky on me. The flight path disappears and just shows my plane on the map, along with the takeoff area and target area. Had the target waypoint change on me as approaching one time. Figure it may have been maybe a connection issue or something. Only couple of times out of about 22 missions.
Trooper117 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Flying a Spitfire career, no problems here so far

At some point your nav legs disappear and you only have nav points 1 and 2 near your base. And it might occur when you're assigned to cover ground forces (haven't played one of those missions lately).
=LD=Hethwill Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 (edited) There's some slight "stuts" in Frontline Dense mode on some occasions. Some of them, like during operation typhoon can get really populated with squadrons and ground troops each with their own mission. Both Interception and Cover Ground Attack missions expect the player flight to do routine in the target area, sometimes is fast others takes quite a time, just credible realism heh, that's the final waypoint, until the enemy bomber squadron shows on the expect area and the friendly bombers finish their run. Plenty of time was spent testing these missions. You can't expect in an update of this size and scope that everything was going to be found prior to release.
