Drachenstein Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Hello veterans of the skies, as I have no z-axis on my flightstick (TM Warthog without thrust unit) and do not want to use pedals (some people can not even), I assigned the Yaw-axis to buttons. But then the Yaw-axis dont leap back, so that does not work. I have also tried the TM T.A.R.G.E.T Software, but also with this it is not possible to assign another axis. There are other games/flight simulators in which the Yaw-axis leap back on buttons works, because there is an option for an reset status. Does anyone know a solution for this problem? Still can´t take off.
Quax Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 http://www.amazon.com/Saitek-X45-Digital-Throttle-Stick-Windows/dp/B00005TOTG the buttons at the backside of the throttle work as axis.
Sokol1 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Testpilot01 Try map on TARGET these buttons for "pressed" move rudder left or right and "clicked" center rudder. Pressed and hold move rudder, rapid press (click) center. This solution - rudder on buttons - probable help you fly, but not fight. Or at least buy a CH PRO THROTTLE, and use his mini-stick - axis with return to center, tumb operated - to control rudder. BTW - JayHall, autor of "Newbies Joystick Guide" for il-2 (the original) say (in UbiZ00) that you control rudder - in games - better with your thumb than with your foots, based on his laboratory experiences with joysticks and... monkeys.
