Manual Radiators in SP Mode

I've had this weird issue to where if I'm playing an SP campaign and turn on manual radiators in flight, they will open all the way, and not let me control them.

 

Example: I'm in my Bf109-F4 and choose manual radiator control. The radiator instantly starts opening to 100%. Then I am stuck with it open all the way. Any attempt to close it does not work.

 

Other times, I can control the rads just fine in the Bf109. So I do not think it's a problem with the keybind sticking. It's only when it decides to automatically open all the way, that I lose all control of it.

You mean F4 , not F2 model? F2 manual radiator will open it 100% by default

Maybe it was the F2 it happened on. I know I was flying both of them last night.

 

Is this supposed to happen on the F2?

Yes,  thats correct , F2 had only AUTO/full open 

 

Edit, i think manual mode was used only to avoid overheating while taxiing. Or in case of malfunction
