FPS count please make it stop

Simple ( for you) question : With the new upgrade I am getting a constant report on my FPS. Since I am using VR this can be rather disconcerting at times when apparently I have a substantial drop in FPS even though I don’t notice it in the general smoothness of game play. I’m sure there must be an easy way to turn this feature off...can you help-thanks.
