TheHighwayman Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I added kill markings to my MiG in my campaign, but at a distance the images appear pixelated. The effect is only present on skins I customize, so it's me, not the game. Up close (zoomed in), they look okay -- not perfect, but much better. I am editing the skin in Photoshop, then using GiMP to convert it to a dds file. What am I doing wrong? DX-Diag and screencap attached. DxDiag.txt
Raptorattacker Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Why do you use Gimp to convert? You can get the NVIDIA plugin to convert straight from P'shop. Not directly relevant to your question but just saying... https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop
Yakdriver Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Maybe you are doing nothing wrong... on the Painting part. but the graphics and texture quality settings of your Graphics card are in a way to downgrade the quality of textures when they are far away? Anisotropic filerting or somestuff like that... pump it up and see if the quality is more satisfying.
