Wedgewood Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Go to the directory that it shows in the error and delete that entire folder. If you have the store version of BOS then open the Launcher and it will re-download and if you have steam version right click the title, choose properties and verify integrity of game files to re-download the missing files. This should clear up your problem.

VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 (edited) Couple of things. What OS do you have? Where is the game installed, e.g., Program Files (x86)? EDIT: Oh, also, is it the store or Steam version. Edited March 25, 2018 by VBF-12_Stick-95
Magnum11 Posted March 26, 2018 Author Posted March 26, 2018 Win 10 home 64bit....D: drive SSD was on C but I Reinstalled game and Windows same problem..... Store Version Il-2. Lemon Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 hello, running the game administrator mode can help for some games, can also start it direct from the Il-2.exe file too, actually yesterday night, i realized i could not start the game from the launcher, i do use a shortcut for the Il-2.exe on desktop usually , but right click on the launcher.exe and made it run as administrator mode made the launcher work normally again, hope it ll be so simple for you too.
Magnum11 Posted March 26, 2018 Author Posted March 26, 2018 Hi! Lemon Thanks for your reply But already Tried Launcher and IL-2 Exe as ADIN
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 (edited) If I read things correctly the game is in a Games directory. An FYI, the game does not install to the registry. You can copy and paste the full game to another folder or drive and have multiple copies on you system and all should run. My working version is on an SSD C: in Program Files (X86) folder. I run mine as admin as well. For some reason when I built this system I had an old version on my SSD D: that my virus software quarantined. No idea why. Do you use launcher or exe? Magnum11 Posted March 26, 2018 Author Posted March 26, 2018 I Have Used Launcher and Exe Both as Adim
Lemon Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 maybe if you have some overclocked hardware try with stock values, if you did some changes in the bios save your settings and try defaults values, also it can be an audio hardware/software problem, you can go in window device manager under sound, video game controller , keep only one sound device, i d say realteck one and just right click on others and just disable them dont uninstall another thing you can do is uninstall video card driver and all the microsoft c++ redistributable in the window add/remove programs and the Vulkan sdk and re installing the video card driver

jasta11ace Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 (edited) Since the update here's what I get on every launch. I'm connected to the internet because everything else works including "Verdun" on Steam. IL-2, I can play offline, but that's it. I've tried the above solutions but still no joy. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Forgot to add that the update was interupted for some reason and then restarted. Sure wish there was a way to re-download the update to overwrite the first attempt. Sorry for the rediculous size of the attachment. Edited March 27, 2018 by jasta11ace
Magnum11 Posted March 28, 2018 Author Posted March 28, 2018 Hi! Jasta Good Luck I have ben trying to find My problem since Update..... maybe a patch or something
Lemon Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 hi guy s , sorry you cant enjoy the sim so far.. i understand the frustration, Magnum you could play an hour ?! the problem is stability then and just since the update, no problem at all what so ever before that before or and any other game that you experiment crashes ? i ask cause the game is more resources demanding since the update, be sure your system is running cool, no clogged heat sinks on the GPU or the CPU ? other things you can try - your setup is enough powerful, but for test purpose, try lower setting, everything on medium, and check if it help, even try a lower resolution, update use 30% more vram on rig -Also ,you can install nvidia inspector, there is a pre-setting inside for BOS,(be sure the setting use the correct path for the .exe, use the tab/ add application to current profile/ just by in inspector ) use it, and test the game, if it crash again, go change 1 or 2 settings at a time and test it , why i suggest that ? when i sold my good old toxic 280x for the gtx 970, i had many crashes when i was choosing some settings in the driver, it was the LOD section, cant remember for sure but i think it was when i was selecting driver could control bias (on/off) , just one setting was making the game crashing, i cant understand why, and even more now cause i can change this setting now with no problem, strange, but different driver and other settings can explain it etc... the points is driver settings made my game crash, it is possible you got the same problem. good luck Mike hey Jasta, i don t know much about internet connections settings but i would check the firewall options first, be sure it let the game connect on the net, the first time you installed the game and you lunched it, you should have a message box on your screen asking you if you let il-2 to get trough ? possible you clicked ( no ) by inadvertence ? English is 2nd language for me, sorry if sometimes i can be hard to understand, just trying to help to best i can lol
Magnum11 Posted March 28, 2018 Author Posted March 28, 2018 Your Are very much Appreciated Lemon thanks for all suggestions I Will try the Nvidia Inspector... I know it's not heat problem I have MSI Afterburner. and I'm OCD about Keeping Inside the case Clean once a Month Ritual Mike 1
