Excessive use of flares???

I believe it was my 3rd mission in career, I’m position number 2 in the flight roster for the mission, on the runway, the ground starts shooting out flares... then my flight lead starts shooting flares... eventually there must have been every colour of flare shot out, so I’m guessing they were signaling me to go, after I started to roll they stopped and all followed...

i felt like they were trolling me for being the new guy in the squadron...

jokes on them as I was the only one to make it back!! 

 

Anywho, anyone else experience this wonderful fireworks show??

Yes. These guys must receive a bonus on the number of flares used.

No. Once I saw everyone shooting all those flares I started shooting all my flares too.

Yep I have seen it as well, right pretty it is.

 

I am not flight lead quite yet, so I always wait for lead to take off first then follow in order.
