=EXPEND=13SchwarzeHand Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 The entry „ultimate load factors recalculated in v3.001 caught my eye. Does anyone know what was changed exactly and what impact it has made?
FTC_DerSheriff Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Wings ripping off at high G? Wild guess. maybe even coupled with damage. But we can only guess. Everything else is pure speculation.
Barnacles Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 (edited) Before 3.001 I could only reliably rip the wings off spitfires, although the before the update before that I could rip off the wings from 109 G2/G4s through high G pullouts. I've done the same now (post update) to Yak 7bs and LA5 FNs and dismissed it as being the new planes, but if "load factors have been recalculated" then maybe it is the fact that 1bs and other planes can rip their wings off too. I'll have to try a pre 3.001 plane. (not a spit because that did anyway) Edited March 18, 2018 by 71st_AH_Barnacles Typo
Barnacles Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Just tried a Yak 1 Ser. 69 and could not break the wings off even in a 750kmh dive trimmed fully back. Bf109 G2 did though. 1 2
=EXPEND=13SchwarzeHand Posted March 19, 2018 Author Posted March 19, 2018 well what I don’t understand is that they say that the ultimate load factors for all AC were recalculated, but I do not see any difference in any maximum G load stats in the data sheets. So is the update regarding something else or were they just recalculated with the same result?
