Porkins Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Just bought Kuban yesterday and have been playing for about 3 hours. Here's my impressions: Pros: - They really did the Spitfire justice. It flies like I've read it should fly. Great turner, great dogfighter, decent armament, super fun to fly. I feel like they knocked it out of the park with this one. - The P-39 is a treat. No idea if it's "accurate," as I don't know much about the P-39. I just know that it's cockpit is gorgeous and it is handles really well. A great change of pace fighter with some fantastic load out options. - HS-129. A challenging plane to survive in, but again I love how much variety the plane adds to the game with its different ground attack load outs. - Kuban map is gorgeous and inspired. The coastline and mountains add some badly needed variety to the Eastern Front. - The expanded naval units are really awesome. - The single player campaign is greatly improved. - Purty - There is A LOT of game here. Cons: - For the most part the game runs well, but occasionally I get hitches. Not frame drops as much as the game freezes for a second and then jumps. I'm assuming this will be ironed out in optimizations. - Needs faster fast forward options. 2x is fine, but limiting to that really limits my ability to fly missions in the campaign. Hopefully they can get the 4x and above going soon. - I can no longer sort MP servers by player number. Again, I assume this will be patched later. - Game did not come with a free VR headset. I rarely pay $69 for a game, but in this case I'm glad I did. Well worth the price. Can't wait to see how the series continues to develop!
