There sat the Battle of Bodenplatte preorder, with early-bird discount, just begging to be bought. Well, I thought, the kids don't really need shoes, and anyway it's about time they learned to live off the land. So in my cart it goes, and off I trundle to check out. And what do I see? The total inability to purchase it for myself because, and I quote: You can purchase this product set only in the form of gift keys due to one or more following reasons: - the cart contains incompatible products - the cart contains products incompatible to the ones already activated on your account - the cart contains products, already activated on your account - the cart contains products that require the base version of the game What? What is this outrage? How dare you prevent me from frittering away my children's inheritance? This shall not stand! And then I check my purchase history, and realise there's a missing fifth reason: - you already bought it, dumbass! Go back and read that list above! Yup. I'm senile. We all do dumb things and I've done very similar things before not remembering I'd already performed them. I hate to joke about senility as I'm superstitious enough not to want to tempt fate in that way.
