Lubos Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 (edited) After the patch 3.001 I noticed that strange visual artifacts appear on the ground. They appear only for a brief moment after I look with the camera in some direction. I've noticed them only on one map, but I haven't played many other maps yet. The first screenshot shows these artifacts, the second screenshot shows what the grounds looks like about half a second later after the artifacts disappear. Edit: I play the Steam version on highest settings, on Windows 10 and my graphics card is gtx1070 with latest drivers. Edited March 16, 2018 by Lubos
blitzacgt Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I also have this exact same issue. updated drivers. gtx 1070. i76700 cpu. never had it before patch. same hardware before patch. hope it gets fixed, cuz its driving me bonkers. once I notice somthing like this, I OCD on it, and cant ignore it. I digress, My issue is a tad different. I realized so after I examined your pic more closely. Mine are almost single pixel sized artiffacts. off in the horizon, that flash white and black. tiny pixel size boxes. maybe 3 or so per square inch. it is intermittent as well.
Lubos Posted March 16, 2018 Author Posted March 16, 2018 Here's another screenshot that maybe shows the issue a bit better.
Lubos Posted March 19, 2018 Author Posted March 19, 2018 After more testing, it looks like this bug only happens on the shoreline, not inland or around rivers.
JG4_Ketzoh Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Yes, have excatly the same issue on the Kuban map. Lowering the visible Range, AA or texture Resolution seems to have no impact on that bug.
wowbagger Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 (edited) Yes, add me to the list as well. Video card: GTX980ti Edited March 20, 2018 by Pudu added hardware specs
Lemon Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 try different setting in your driver setting tab, i got white lines on water when i use MFAA on with any transparent supersampling, i d try that
=RS=Stix_09 Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 (edited) For me it was caused by super sampling (antialias transparency in NV control panel, i had 2x set here), but with this off I found I needed to use landscape: sharp setting (not the sharpen tick option) setting in game graphics options or i get shimmer in land textures (which is why i was using transparency) I left MFAA on it made no real difference. I have a gtx 1070 vid card. I run game with ultra setting and 4k textures, and limit fps to 50. i don't use vsync (or frame buffering). SSAO is on HDR is off Looks good, 1440p resolution on 32inch monitor. Hope this helps others. Flying around the Kuban map in quick mission at low altitude and card is idling most of the time around 60-70% utilisation @ 50fps. (card is factory overclocked but I like to under-clock it to standard setting to keep it cooler in my small cube case. Edited September 5, 2018 by Stix-09
