La5FN windscreen

First off La5FN is fun to fly, but I’m having issues with the armoured windscreen...  I suppose it would fall under the “bar” discussion and needing refraction to properly work...   I know refraction not happening but am I wrong about this?

To me the horrible forward visibility just adds to the flavor.

The real-world La-5FN pilots also complained about its forward visibility.

The windscreen doesnt bother me as much as that intake sitting on the hood blocking the view and making deflection shooting harder.
