BlitzPig_EL Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Quick mission on Kuban, flying at 17,000ft in the A 20, just taking in the scenery. All my hotas controls became unresponsive. I still had stick and rudder, but my throttle and quadrant levers that control mix, prop pitch cowl shutters, etc... just stopped working. I had no control. I turned the autopilot on and off a couple times, and got some response back, but the calibrations were WAY off. Like 100% prop pitch at 25% of lever movement. Nothing seemed to work properly other than the stick and rudder. Any ideas? Just before it happened...
Field-Ops Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I actually had my VKB stick go awry after about an hour of play in quick missions. Suddenly my X axis roll on the stick, in either direction I pushed it to, would roll right. Alls I had to do was unplug and replug it back in.
TAAC_Blue Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Happened to me last night, except I had lost all control input from stick, throttle and pedals and all key bindings mapped to my hotas.
bzc3lk Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I experienced the same issues with the p39, la5FN and yak 7b yet the hotas seemed to still work with the pre 3.001 patch aircraft. Everything returned to normal after a Re-boot.
Ribbon Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 (edited) Happend to me last night online in i-16, first my pilot's view went outside cockpit ending on wing and i lost any control over joystick, throttle and pedals. End up hitting a tree and dying. Since it was one time occasion i didn't want to report it in bug issue section. Edited March 16, 2018 by EAF_Ribbon
56RAF_Roblex Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 One thing that has causing a lot of people to lose throttle, rpm etc is that the update has reset the default mode to 'Normal' so people are doing a quick mission test and the game is trying to manage the engine for them and ending up with neither the gamer nor the player being able to change anything.
354thFG_Leifr Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Total loss of control has happened to one of my lot too. He had to restart the game.
=38=Tatarenko Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Happened to me too but then I changed the USB slots I was plugged in to (now 1 controller per row) and hasn't happened since.
BOO Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 A recent windows update (10) put back windows ability to turn off power to usb devices. There seemed to be some common wisdom out there previously that overriding this setting in device manager was good for some reason. Its probably totally unconnected but I thought id mention it.
CanadaOne Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 The Yak-7b - and only the Yak-7b - kills the FFB on my MS FFF2. I have to restart the game to get it back. This happened IL2-46 with one plane also.
Archie Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Had similar the first time I jumped into the A-20 after downloading the update, no controls would work until I restarted the game. Been fine since though...
Rjel Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I had it happen the first night after the patch too. But I also had the lost connection to server message appear at the same time. It hasn't happened since.
blitze Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Microsoft and their infinite wisdom. Check your power profiles in Windows.
BlitzPig_EL Posted March 16, 2018 Author Posted March 16, 2018 And what am I looking for in those areas specifically blitze? EL = not an IT guru.
