I created a new career and got shot down and i was announced dead.

Is this career over? can't i play same mission after i hit exit? do i need to start from the beginning?

Yes, uncheck " Iron Man" in the Career settings.

Iron man = Dead is Dead.

Hmm, did not think that would happen - but have not really got that far into it yet, at least getting killed or captured.

Could be possible , I may have misunderstood when it was mentioned somewhere earlier.

Maybe one of the testers can help enlighten us.

Guess I better go in and check Iron Man then before continuing my Career, I sure don't want dead is dead.

Dead is dead, Iron Man or not. If you accept the mission results and you've died, you are dead. But instead of pressing "accept" you can Restart the mission or cancel the mission to return to the campaign screen (you will still be at that mission, it doesn't skip it).

Iron man simply doesn't allow you to restart the mission.

ohhhhhhhh....... well then why was i not killed? lol

I also have an issue where it doesn't keep up with my stats, anyone else have this problem?

that's no sense then. old dynamic campaign was much better than this. i could play whatever mission even without choosing a side. now i am just drowning with the informations, biographies, newspapers. and plus my old career progress is gone too. can we get this old campaign again?

Yeah me too. Really makes you appreciate your pilots and you dont want to take stupid risks. Especially if you have played the career for a while.

I agree, it was nice to be able to choose a specific mission type from a specific airport with a specific plane. It should be added to the "Quick Mission" system. I love the new campaign but I don't understand why they took the old one out completely.

Because the old one sucked and was nothing but a glorified quick mission generator.

Having an extra glorified quick mission generator isn't a bad thing.

They have already stated the are going to tweak it to a quick mission builder.

I am sure will take some time , but they will get to it I am sure.

Good to know thanks for the info, I shall leave that unchecked then.

Had a look in my current Career and did not see the option, guess it has to be selected when creating a new Career.

That is ok went ahead and flew my next mission, bomber intercept - got 5 kills with a successful return to base and a few medals in that one .

Really enjoying this!

I don't understand.. Are you talking about actual or past campaign ? Could you explain further or point to their own words ?
