This morning I was flying a quick mission in the LA5. I had the weather set to overcast and ceiling at 500m. My opponent a Bf 109 G4. At the merge I lost sight and ducked into the clouds. Going through the clouds the water droplets appeared on the canopy, a really great implementation and adds immensely to the atmosphere. I also noticed my AI opponent was reluctant to follow me into the overcast. I don't know if this is something new or if this behavior has been in place for a while, but it was pretty cool. I kept ducking in and out of the overcast taking pot shots at him until he was destroyed a good 10 minutes or so. I'm really enjoying 3.001, the devs should be proud of the result.
