That was a very annoying feature, bumping noise when VR limited movement inside the cockpit.

Gone now, thanks developers.

Would be nice to be able to have more freedom and be able to get closer to the gun sight though (hoping for next update?)

I tried it yesterday in MP and didnt noticed, on purpose I hit my head many times with the cockpit edges :).

Single player I have the limitation off.

Did you try it in single player?

I still get it unless I disable it in options, which I do.

Oh man you really got my hopes up.  That noise is so annoying - I always think I just got shot.

Does anyone else in VR feel like their range of motion is more limited than with trackir?  Videos from trackir seem to show them aligning directly along the cockpit glass on the sides and top, while VR has a "head model" that stops you about an inch from the glass.

Yes, compared to Track IR they are very limited. Can't spin your head around to check six quickly in VR like you can in Track IR. VR flyers are not magic wing walkers lol.

I wish they never had this option to limit head movement.

Thankfully I only fly SP and fly in Custom Realism with that disabled.
