Blitzen Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I absolutely love tooting around in the A-20.It is a beautiful job of modeling- worth the wait...but I couldn't help noticing that at present there is no interior nose position for the bombadier.hopefully this hasn't been asked and answered ; is this to be added at some future point ? I know he has little to do 9 no guns to fire thtat is) merely look through the Norden which i assume can be done with a keystroke , but that position would have a pretty magnificent view... 1 4
56RAF_Roblex Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I agree. Sometimes it is useful to check your navigation from that view.
Nightrise Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Also kinda disappointed that we have a russian bomb sight. 1

Rhubard Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I'am disappointed not been able to get to the nose position in the A-20. It's the same with other bomber, the bombardier position is not available. I mean is't nice to have a bombardier kind of all noobs and gages in one screen, but I would like to see what that position view is like.
Antiguo Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 (edited) HI... I miss it too Edited March 16, 2018 by Ala13_Antiguo
ShamrockOneFive Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Remember, as cool as the position would be it would significantly add to the modeling time for the aircraft. Each of those positions comes with a huge time suck to do them. Doesn't mean I don't want to have it as much as you guys (I loved being in there in IL-2 1946) but I get why they didn't do it.
Rhubard Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I see your point of view ShamrockOneFive, from a gamer perspective, I agree totally, but from a historical maniac point of view I wish I could have it. But I can live without it. Still a wonderful rendering of that aircraft. Thanks to the dev.

Danziger Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I can't wait to fill that nose position up with guns...
BOO Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Also a little disappointed that the nose position wasn't modelled. It would be nice to see it one day.
Finkeren Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I understand not modeling it, since it would be completely rudimentary as anything other than observer position. However, I do hope, that at some point we might see a more realistic portrayal of historical bomb sights that can actually be operated in a historical fashion by the bombardier and not the pilot. Though in the case of the A-20B in Soviet service, there would be no Norden sight - that was a piece of technology the Americans weren't willing to ship off to the USSR. 1
RedeyeStorm Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Or to any other allies. Didn't give/sold it to the Brits either.
Firestorm07 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Have to say a massive thanks to the Devs for the A20, got my money's worth for BoK just in that beast. But from a simulationist standpoint, the cardinal rule should be - if the position could be manned, it should be available to us. Of course it would take longer. But it would be a complete product. In IL21946, the Beaufighter didnt have the rear position modeled and it was a definite miss. This is too in my opinion, it would improve an already magnificently produced virtual aircraft. For your consideration.
BOO Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Well me and my 10 friends wont be flying it until its gets that posi......like hell we wontl. With or without its a brilliantly crafted, beautiful and addictive bit of 777 genius (but very worthy of further nose love if it can be fitted in - I mean, its not like 777 have much else on at the moment is it? :))
