Mewt Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) Hello So in this post Jason mentions that the biggest influence on your render 'bubble' is your quality preset; Ultra giving more distance than High, which gives more distance than Balanced etc. (not to be confused with horizon distance, which is now at up to 150km). My question is this: Does increasing your quality preset to 'Ultra' give you the best possible spotting advantage in multiplayer? I have two choices: I currently play at 8110 x 1440 resolution. I can't push that beyond 'High' preset without dropping below 60 fps (something I'm not willing to do). I could downsample to a non-monitor-native equivalent resolution (like 6488 x 1152) which would give me 60+ fps constantly at 'Ultra' (but as mentioned is non-native). My question another way: Is downsampling into a non native resolution worth it for any advantage that 'Ultra' gives in multiplayer? Cheeeeeeers Edited March 15, 2018 by -W-Mewt
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Bubble is always 10km. He was talking about something else, not about rendering range of aircraft.

Did some testing and it makes sense. Spotting is actually easier for me at native res. Is the bubble 10K radius or diameter?
