Also open "portforward" your ports tcp/udp 28000 - 28100 Edited March 15, 2018 by Thor_Hansen
zelil Posted March 16, 2018 Author Posted March 16, 2018 Thanks for the reply. I still can't get it to load even with port forwarding and selecting test server. Maybe I should mention how my net work is set up. I have a Google mesh router with 3 transmitters. The main is connected to a 8 port Netgear switch which the gaming PC is connected. Looking at the Google app I can clearly see the pc in question needing port forwarding and the switch DHCP table looks to be all part of the same subnet as the main. Still would like help with this if anyone has any ideas. Thanks
Habu Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Ok, You have to forward the port from your router to your PC. 1- Your PC must have a fix IP and not using the dhcp for that PC. 2- Go in your router and do a port forwarding to the fixe IP of your PC. If your router has an IP such as : 192.168.1.1 Put on your PC : 192.168.1.2 Carrefull, you have to give a gateway and dns IP which should be the router Ip : 192.168.1.1 (in my exemple) On your router, you have to set port 28000 incoming to 192.168.1.2 on port 28000 in TCP port 28000 incoming to 192.168.1.2 on port 28000 in UDP port 28100 incoming to 192.168.1.2 on port 28100 in TCP For the port 28000, some router have the setting both for the protocol, so you can set in one line UDP and TCP protocol. On your PC, you have to accept the incoming data on your firewall.
zelil Posted March 19, 2018 Author Posted March 19, 2018 Once again thanks for the replies. I am familiar with port forwarding and have set many profiles in the past for team speak etc. The only difference is in the past the router I was working with had a more extensive interface and the google one is very limited, I will pick up a cheap router and put the pc before the google hub and see if that works thanks again

-332FG-Reedrick Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 I know I'm 2 years late to the party. I was having the same issue and I was pulling out my hair. For whatever reason my router changed its IP. I had to go back into Settings, Multiplayer (in game) and just type the same IP that was on the left into the box and it fixed my problem. Example: before hand it was 192.168.1.6 when it changed it become 192.168.1.5 (so I just had to type this number in the box)
