Yeah that doesn't look like an object to me.. Looks more like a texture mod

Which is definitely doable

The issue with objects is almost certainly the custom materials used by the devs which are not available in the rof plugin

On the mention of 3ds max 2012 plugin for il2  by Jason.... my main concern is that 3ds 2012 isn't actually supported by Autodesk anymore so getting a copy is practically impossible

Yep, we had the same problem with Rof which use 3Dsmax 2008. It could be interresting if 777 could "negociate" with autodesk to sell us some 3dsmax2012 licence at a discount price as it's an old software.

the really shame is they actually let people use 3ds max for education. except only the past 3 versions.

Do we need to set the Grass graphics to maximum? I do not see the flowers yet. What am I missing?

Nevermind I got the answer below.

Do the Planes.gtp file contain the 3D object that I can convert into FBX and paint in Substance Painter? If not where are they located, and can I extract them?

Thank you!

Does un-gtp extract really everything completely, even from the latest versions of IL-2?

There's always this 'unknown type encountered' message at the end of the extraction process.

Yep, erxactly this.

I've mentioned that in an other post/thread as well, where someone gave me the answer that the 'unknown type..' message at the end is standard.

Yeah, that is said earlier in this thread too. But since we seem to be missing certain files I don't think it's true. It doesn't apply to all new content though, as I noticed a bunch of Hurricane-related files when I unpacked some archives this time. The search for the g-meter goes on... :(
