Instant Crash in 3.001 HTC Vive + 2D [resolved]

[It appears to have been EVGA Precision XOC running in the background causing the crashes. Even without overclocking, it was crashing IL-2.]

 

As soon as any game starts, from quick mission or career etc, a white error dialog box appears and IL-2 closes: "IL-2 Sturmovik has stopped working".

 

Upgrading NVidia drivers to the latest, removing all overclocking,  removing SteamVR beta did not improve the situation. I tried lowest graphics settings.

 

I did manage two quick missions, which gave me a taste of the 3.001 update, but they too all crashed, but in-game.

EVGA GTX1080Ti

32GB RAM
1TB Intel 600p Series M.2

 

Can I have some suggestions on how I can get this resolved, please?
