Blitzen Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I won't start & I can the "Run time has been interupted' message. We got a patch to correct this last week but it doesn't work this time.I've contacted Oculus Support but it will take a while to get a solution.does anyone here have a work around or simple solution? desparate to get going & use VR with new BoK!
dburne Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I would post over in the Oculus Support Forum if you have not, might get some quicker help there.
Guest deleted@134347 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I had it yesterday first time clicking on Oculus Home. My reaction was "wtf.". clicked ok, tried again.. and no more message. I suggest reinstalling the patch, or re-installing the whole Oculus environment.

I've tried the patch twice with absolutely no luck.I'm not sure where to go looking for the uninstall or if I have an exe or download to reinstall...

Uninstall along with a new install is a pain, no to mention any saved ( Oculus) games you may have. Have you tried stopping and restarting the Oculus Service? As mentioned I would also try reinstalling the patch first. Never mind on patch comment, I see you already tried that. Edited March 14, 2018 by dburne
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Just save your games in another folder, you can put them back in and restart Home after reinstallation. By the way, get the Tray Tool and check wether the service is running. Before you go the full reinstall route, just restart the ORserver / ORservice via the button in the Tray Tool, wait 20 seconds, then start up Home. Put Home on "Administrator required" in the compatibility tab in Windows - then it won't start prematurely (yes, it does do that) upon detecting input.
Blitzen Posted March 15, 2018 Author Posted March 15, 2018 Had to un-install & re-install Rift. Not as much a pain in the ass as you might think with help from Oculus Support. Of course I was half crazy not being able to fly BoK et al in VR yesterday but in the last hour I have had the great pleasure of doing so and with the help of the Oculus Tray Tool I think the clarity is better than before Rift went on the blink.thanks for your suggestions guys,i did appreciate them!
