=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I have always looked up to this man growing up, and I am very sad about his death. He lived a pretty long time for someone with his condition. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-43396008 1 9
Cybermat47 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 A strong, intelligent, and humble man. He will be sorely missed.
Finkeren Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I wouldn't exactly call him humble, nor did he have any reason to be. He was an amazing human being and the greatest possible advocate of science. 1
Feathered_IV Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 RIP. A pretty good run all things considered. My own father only lasted 4 years with the same disease. 3

He lasted only slightly more than a year after getting the diagnosis. Hawking's disease progressed unusually slowly though.
