Doogerie Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) 1. it's by 777 whohave a prover track record of making good stuff 2.it's set in WW2 3. it is set in a seting that is usally ignord in Comat flight sims 4. It can be expanded by both 777 and the comunaty 5. I assume that one day we will get more thetaters of war (like the MED and BOB) 6. One day we will have spitfiers 7. Bombing runs over Sovieat airfields and Staningad it's self Have I missed anything out? Edited December 28, 2012 by Doogerie
Mysticpuma Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Hopefully we will see weather implemented, that will give us the feeling of flying above and below opaque cloud layers. True 3D fighting using clouds to hide under or above? Cheers, MP
dburne Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) I would only add: Yes at it's core it is by 777, after all it is using their engine, but remember it is 1C Game Studios, which is a partnership between members of the 777 team and members of the 1C team. Hopefully this will only make it even better, by combining the best of talents of two great teams into one! That alone makes me very optimistic indeed... Edited December 28, 2012 by dburnette
GOAT-ACEOFACES Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) 1. it's by 777 whohave a prover track record of making good stuffHate to be the one to point this out.. But 1C had one of the, if not the best, 'proven track record' prior to the making of CoD. In summary Track records don't seem to mater much in the flight simming world.. Your only as good as your current product.. Edited December 28, 2012 by ACEOFACES 1
addman Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Everybody has a track record until it's broken, let's hope 777 can keep on recording...ehr...tracks?
Bearcat Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Consider that at the time 1c also had a ready made market chomping at the bit.... but then again so did Gaijin ...The WWII sim market has been hungry for a while now. Hopefully 1c777 will be able to take us where no one has since 1cMG .... Hey MP is that CoD? WoP has that water on the screen thing too... very cool.
gavagai Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I don't care about Spitfires (always been an ez-mode plane), but the rest I can agree with!
Logan Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I think Ic and Ubisoft have left a bad taste in all our mouths. I hope 777 can get rid of that.
Heywooood Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 (edited) I'll take the neoqb 777 and old iL2 track record over any other simulation developers you can name...maybe Eagle Dynamics and then M/S afterward... Oleg's team and guidance over the very first iteration of iL2 produced one of the most amazing combat flight simulations to date in every way...it was after the big publisher got involved that things went sidewise and slapstick The only real concern I have for this project is the size and mixture of the team, but it is all temepered by an appreciation for their leadership and organization. I think, based on nothing but what I have seen with both GoGamer and 777 Studios, Jason will manage this thing very well. Edited December 29, 2012 by Heywooood
