Hello!

I am planning to upgrade my system now that update 3.0 is right around the corner. I don't have any problems at all right now but I want to have an stable system for the next 4 or 5 years and to play other games.

My current system is:

P61 Gygabyte

I5 2500 3.3 (Non K)

GTX 970 MSI ME100 OC

12Gb DDR3 Ram 1333

I have 60fps most of the time with Vsync and sometimes it goes to 40-45.

I am planning on:

Ryzen 1600 (Or 2600)

Asus B350 Plus

16Gb Ram DDR4 to 3000

Same GPU (1070 6gb in the next year)

I am playing on 1080p, not going for VR or higher res. yet

I know a Ryzen is not the best option for gaming but of what I have seen, it can't be that bad, I have limited budget and going for Intel would be too expensive. From my expectations this should be more than enough for Il-2 and the updates to come alongside other games.

What do you guys think?

Thanks! this thing is a beast, I can't be more happy... I am getting excellent FPS on both DCS and Il-2 with my "old" Gpu. I have CPU for years to come

If you feel the need to overclock your Ryzen CPU to get more horsepower I suggest the Ryzen Master program by AMD, the maker of Ryzen chips.

I only need high performance when gaming so used the Game profile to boost my 5-1600x to 4.1 Mhz and made a slight adjustment for higher CPU voltage.

Thanks! Despite the actual speed I have no need to OC the CPU yet. I already got my ram up to 2886 and had a great improvement alongside an slight GPU oc too
