Crash land then strafed and killed

Dude - do you even lift bro?

I have 30lb dumbbells I play with. The 40lb cause too much strain on my neck, so I stopped with those. Twenty-years of doing trees gifted me a few herniated disks in my neck, so yeah, no 40s. I'm getting old...

As for my friends on the other side of this vibrant debate, they're just having some fun with me. I think we're all antsy waiting for the new update.

If and when I do fly BOX online, I'll ask you where you are flying, and I promise to die well. :)

...you really have very little place in a discussion such as this.

I admit to being curious, then, why you are spending so much time discussing it with me.

Agreed.

Try harder!

I just think you're projecting your own failings and sensitivity on to others. You get quite a kick out of calling out people who actually play online regularly as "snowflakes (overly sensitive? terminally unique? or does it have a more sinister meaning for you?), yet you're nowhere to be found.  The people you are arguing with are there online almost every night, and we've seen every type of douchebaggery there is, whether it be rammers, kamikaze arcade playing vulchers, trashtalkers, gloaters, chute killers, team killers, etc...And yet, there we are, night after night on the virtual frontlines of it all.  But where are you, while you tell people what should be acceptable, or how people should feel about any particular situation?  Sorry man, but guys in their Offline Ivory towers, really have no call to impugn the mettle of those that are actually flying against real people.  You are entitled to your opinions, but whether they carry any weight or not is another matter entirely.

I'm not discussing anything with you...I'm trying to tell you that your "free opinions" regarding a players conduct in a multiplayer environment are misguided (namely your belief that any form of etiquette in these places is ridiculous).   Generally people don't like to fly on servers that have too many people with the kind of mindset or attitudes that you advocate.  It's not good for the game

Of course you are discussing things me. We are having a conversation. Perhaps not always an enlightening one, but it is one nonetheless.

If you will take the time to read my posts, you will see I already agreed that the stated rules of a particular server should be followed. I have zero problem with that.

I'm not talking about rules of a server.  I'm advocating not going out of your way to be a jerk.  Your consistent argument on these forums is that because that real war is hell, and full of death, destruction, misery, and suffering, that it's perfectly ok to behave like a douchebag when you are playing an online video game, just because you can;  You don't like to be called a troll..yet you advocate trollish behaviors, that in most cases have no purpose other than to annoy people.

To be honest, I wouldn't do most of the things mentioned. Unless there was some team victory based on total points (or whatever) thing going on, I wouldn't mow a chute. I would never vulch over a spawn point because that is just cheating based on the game code and has no basis in reality. I would absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, ram someone if I was out of ammo and he was chasing me. And to be fair, if someone I was chasing who had no ammo was able to ram me, I'd buy the guy a beer and celebrate his flying skills.

My point is that people want to play pretend war and then they get all righteously indignant when subjected, albeit virtually, to some of the real life behaviour that took place in the very scenario they are simulating.

It is a simulation of a period of unfettered violence almost without equal. Now if you want to instill some "humanity" into it, fine. But don't get all puffy when the simulation of mass death and destruction you are engaged in lacks gentility and hurts you feelings.

CanadaOne,

The problem isn't your opinion, per se; it's your attitude.  As a fellow Canadian there shouldn't be any social deviances between us, so from one Canadian to another, you're acting like an A-hole...

P.S   Just say no to being a snowflakus eradicates ignoramus.  <g>

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate the effort you have gone to in order to straighten me out.

To repay the favour, I think I owe the truth at least; you're on the wrong side of the country. You need to come way East. ;)

I'm happy to see your humor is working well again, (and that there's so much Canada still between us) so I'll stop worrying about you again, my work here is done!    ;-)
