HenFre Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Hello all When I play back a flight record I cannot unbind the head position in the cockpit. When I press Alt + F1 the turning of the head is unbound, but the head keeps moving around inside the cockpit following the recordings headmovement. Is there any way to turn this headmovement off?
AndyJWest Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 No, there doesn't seem to be any way to turn it off. I think it may even be intentional, and that the damage model takes your head position into account. It certainly seemed to in RoF, because you could survive nose-over landings by ducking your head down as the plane went over (the Sopwith Dolphin was particularly prone to this). It might well complicate things to be able to 'survive' in a replay when you previously 'died'. Arguably, if it is supposed to be a replay, you shouldn't be able to turn your head differently either... 1
HenFre Posted February 24, 2018 Author Posted February 24, 2018 Thanks Andy I thought as much. I just wanted to be able to record what I was doing with the rudder pedals, but it is impossible when the camera keeps moving around the cockpit all the time Guess I will have to figure out another way to show what I am doing with my rudder pedals as I taxi.
AndyJWest Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 You can enable external views in a playback, even if they weren't when you made the recording. That might help. 1
HenFre Posted February 24, 2018 Author Posted February 24, 2018 That is exactly what I did Andy I used the F4 view which follows the airplane from behind and now it is possible to see how I use the rudder. The only thing missing is how I use the brakes. Would be great with a free view from inside the cockpit.
