dburne Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 (edited) Received version 1.24 PTC this morning. One issue I was having , is with the latest Nvidia drivers, after playing a game oftentimes the headset would not release when closing Oculus Home. The light would stay white in the headset, and upon putting it back on Oculus Home would start but would not have a display in the Rift. This was a known issue, and was even listed in the release notes in the latest Nvidia drivers as a known issue. It would take a restart of the Oculus Runtime, or restart of the PC, to get the Rift back to normal. Happened to me a lot over the last couple of weeks. Version 1.24 on the PTC so far today is performing flawless on this issue. I tested taking the headset off, closing Oculus Home, putting headset back on and Oculus Home starting up, each time I closed Oculus Home the headset released properly and the light in headset was amber as it should be, and always came back on after putting it on. So far it appears at least this issue may be fixed. One other thing that is kind of neat, software apps in Home can now be moved to different locations quite easily. Just go into the Library, choose the app/game ( three dots beside it), and choose to move. Can move to different partitions or drives very easily. Note this would not apply to a third party game, like IL-2. Only games installed through the Oculus Library. So if I have some Oculus Library games installed on my gaming SSD, and not going to play for a while, I can easily move over to my HDD and keep all my settings and progress, and just move back when I want to resume later on.
