Aiming with rockets

Is there some manual how to aim unguided rockets? I tried i.e. IL2 and rockets were flying more or less to the center of the crosshair (or slightly below) when in I-16 they are flying a lot higher than crosshair's center.

I do fire them in volley to compensate for the "more or less" unreliability after aligning. So one pass, full rocket saturation.

I-16 I tend to use the top of the reflector as a guide.

I have improved my deflection shooting with guns and also with using rockets substantially by setting up a custom view and selecting  HELP with shooting/aiming and rockets.

I was always misjudging the amount of lead to take but after using help with aiming I have a much better feel on the lead to take and my

kill rate has gone up nicely and I also finally hit something with my rockets.

I realize that it is cheating and don't use it consistently,  but I could never get it right before.

I don't think using a 'training aid' should be considered cheating   

 

IRL you would have proper training and lectures on use of weapon systems by experienced instructors

In MP it is blocked anyway to why to speak about cheating  I think it's actually a great idea, i can use it in SP only anyway so for sure i'll try. Thx for help. I didn't even know there is this kind of option in the game.
