Il-2.exe executable 'not responding' after purchase of il-2 battle of kuban DLC

Il-2.exe executable launch 'not responding' - as shown in Windows task manager - after purchase of il-2 BOK DLC from 777studios website (see transaction email snippet below).  This occurs for the ENTIRE il-2 game now (BOS, BOM, BOK).  And Il-2.exe fails to launch from either inside Steam app or when launched independently of Steam.  WTF?  Did I just pay $70 to 'brick' this game?

It doesn't make sense for it to happen only after buying BoK as that only comes into effect when you log in. 

You already had all modules installed. 

 

I would suggest starting with a reinstall of the game.

If it still shows the error after reinstall, send a screenshot.

Yep, that did the trick (uninstalling then re-installing BOS from inside Steam).

BOS, BOM, & BOK all appear on splash screen
