A bit of dodging (difficult in a 190 against Yaks, admittedly) and then BOOM! They do the job for me... ;-) HA! 1

A-5 clean or with U17 + boost should be able to get away from those Yak-1 Series 69. It's harder against the Yak-1B Series 127 where the sea level speeds are very very close. Of course the energy you have coming into the fight is also useful!
