I also noticed the locking of a thread that discussed differences in maps between ROF and CLOD. Didn't like the locking of the thread. It's no secret that Freycinet loves IL-2 CLOD, but to suggest he would have come around here just to stir something up isn't right. He's a well respected video maker and the discussion there was interesting and informative.

 

Please keep it open around here, understand the need to keep things on track, but an open and civilised discussion about all aspects of the thing we all love, flight simulation, won't hurt the development of the product, or the community. Thanks for listening.

Don't be confused. Read the thread and look at two posts in particular and the last post by Jason who locked the thread and you will have your answer. There is no "hostility towards CoD" just a clearly stated and firmly enforced policy of ZERO tolerance for the whing, crying, my sim is better than yours, how dare you criticize my sim kind of childishness that follows posts like this almost like a shaow follows it's maker. If that zero tolerance makes you uncomfortable or confuses you then I don't know what to tell you. When posts like this can be made without the drama or the hint (and we have come to recognize it very well over the last 2 week) then posts like hat will remain open and discussion will flow. Blame the people who make the posts that start this kind of childishness not the mods and admins who mean what we say when we say that kind of drama will not be allowed to gain a foothold of any kind on these boards. FWIW Frey was not the reason the thread got locked other posters in it were. If you are new here and are used to the freewheeling dialog of the yellow boards then remember ... You are not in Kansas any more. People who have been here for the past week + have already been through the drama and fully understand why we do things the way we do them here and most agree and are grateful.
