Should I "Enable VR HMD" ?...

Since I only use TIR5 with BoX, I usually leave the "Enable VR HMD" option unticked in the "Graphics settings" section, but I wonder if I should / could leave it set ?

 

Any gain or loss from that being selected when we do not use a VR set ?

it just starts Steam VR on launch IIRC (must be installed though)
