TexasWarbird Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 (edited) Hello, I wanted to ask about the issue (or Non issue) regarding 780 cards and the upcoming update. Previously I've had to roll back drivers for subsequent updates since 2.012 released. In an effort to save cash - I've decided to stick with the 780 card and focus my investments directly to up coming releases for IL2 BOX and since I have no issues rolling back drivers to accommodate this title. I was wondering if there has been any testing with 780 cards and this title before it's release? Just in case I'd need to install a more specific driver; I can be directed sooner than later. I've previously discussed this with someone via over the coffee conversation and was reassured that only gfx would be effected and should not trigger an issue. But since the time of that conservation - more content seems to be added and being added. Which also encouraged me to ask more formally, since it's been on my mind for sometime. I am pesimistic when it comes to Nvidia dedicating any resources into solving issues for a relatively old card (2 gens behind current). 2

Since I've recreated this issue with other titles as well. I was wondering if there has been any testing with 780 cards and this title before it's release? This question is to help direct me to a more specific driver in case there is a surfacing issue once the patch releases that will disrupt compatibility with my current driver - not placing blame. ST_ami7b5 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 My 780 works fine (with some small issues like darker runway) while testing 3.001 with the diver version in my sig.So I collect money to buy 1060 6GB after the mining madness (hopefully) ends and card prices go back to normal. 1
