I see the russian forums have a Flea market section.

Are allowed to sell hardware stuff in this forums?

A lot of people and companies seem to be advertising on here without trouble. But If you want to sell I think you need to handle it by PM or personal email.

I found this in the fourm rules:

So you need to ask permission from the DEVS. There is defo a lot of advertising going on though, so I don't know if these people have permission or if the mods don't come to this section of the forum much.

 

Also, there is this:

So I am guessing no then, how come the russian forums allows it , and the ones in english dont.

They have different rules?

 

It should be good to the community to sell and buy used stuff in here.

I have certainly seen others in here list hardware for sale over the last year or so.

 

Would not hurt to contact them and ask first for clarification though.

Just send a PM to a Dev or fill out a support form if you want to sell stuff. I'm sure it will be OK as long as you are not in competition with them or wanting to sell something stupid.

You're not going to get proverbially busted for selling a used joystick in the hardware subforum - it happens all the time.

 

The inference I draw from "advertising other products" is that you'd probably get a warning for attempting to sell a home-brew flight simulator as "better than IL-2!" I really, really doubt B6, Bearcat or He Who Shall Not Be Named are going to care if you try to sell a second hand stick.

I asked about a putting up a post regarding the sale of 2 Asus GTX 980s, cheap. It was suggested I try Sim HQ as they do have a dedicated "Buy, Sell, Trade" sub forum. I did so and I was able to get rid of them quickly.

I and others have posted stuff for sale in the Free Subject section before without issue.

 

As long as you aren't using these forums as a personal advertisement platform, I'm sure the occasional post of hardware for sale isn't a problem.
