Hi lads..please listen

 setup is-high spec 2008 pc ..currently have a f.l.y 5, a cyborg evo force,some pc joypad,mouse and old keyboard,pre hd monitor what can i do cheap to get going effectivly with this game .

my thought are a trackball for views instead of track ir5 or oculus rift or some sort of zboard for extra buttons,

I have a small space so movement is an issue ...i really hate using the hat(?)switch on the joystick for views any sugestions ?

 much appreasiated...call me B.A.I.T..

Does the window behind you have blinds or solid enough curtains? Any chance of rearranging your gaming area?

 

If you get a Trackclip pro or Delanclip or DIY an IR LED clip, you don't have to worry about light coming in from the sides.

 

Buying a new trackball won't be any cheaper than buying an IR LED clip and a webcam.

simon--the throttle is on the stick but thx for the input good ppint though

calvamos-yeah blinds i got them...i could tydey up but eerm..im wicked and im lazy lol

just been surfing and found the track ir not cheap at all £120.00 minimum,also found out the clip breaks easily..trackball at under £70..one going for under £20?? dont know what delan clip is??

 anybody else care to comment??

I've had a trackclip pro for a while. I figure if it breaks, I'll just glue/tape/frankenstein it together.

Delanclip, it's this guy in the UK who made metal IR clips and sold them on ebay. But it looks like he stopped selling them :-( http://www.ebay.com/usr/delan_engineering

 

With the saitek fly 5, hm, if you can position the trackball so you can use the throttle with your left thumb (assuming you're right handed) while your other fingers operate the trackball, you could probably make it work well enough. I don't know if the fly 5 throttle is too stiff to use with just a thumb?
