taffy2jeffmorgan Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Hi All, I have been flying PWGG version 2.1.2 missions almost continually since i installed sometime ago, and enjoying every minute. I notice that there is on the main screen an option " Lone Wolf Missions " but this is not highlighted, is this a case of having to reaching a certain achievement level to be able to fly Lone Wolf ? Cheers
Pail Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Maybe they are only for Rise of Flight......?......I really can't remember if I have flown one for the Battle of Xes....

Yes this. I think maybe it is reaching flight leader, seems like once I became flight leader I then had an option for Lone Wolf Missions. Either that or based on rankings...

Pail Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I think maybe it is reaching flight leader I checked on my I-16 ace (Grigor Shmiggerov....very famous having had several careers now) and you would have to be squadron leader or Major. Which doesn't seem entirely sensible.
PatrickAWlson Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I think it's based solely on victories and not rank. Can't check at the moment. This was mostly intended for RoF but I kept it in for BoS. A lone wolf mission is just a patrol without any help.
Willy__ Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 IIRC its related to either victories or missions flown
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 Thanks All, I shall have to concentrate on one rank/pilot and try to stay alive.

It would be nice if you did leave the "lone wolf mission" option in BoS for this reason (in bold). Along with Lydia Litvyak Katya Budanova also was one of the bravest and seriously "kick-ass" pilots during World War Two; starting as a flight instructor in 1937, she ended up with eleven victories as part of the 586th Fighter Regiment, battling over Stalingrad and Saratov. After downing so many aircraft, and due to her aggressive piloting skills, she was soon given the highly-coveted right of "solo hunting" -
ironk79 Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 My "Lone Wolf Missions" just got active a few missions ago, if i remember iam 25 Missions in, 21 Victories, so i could have been the 20 victories mark.

Seems to me that the highly coveted right of solo hunting is similar to the highly coveted right of suicide, but OK
